Kawaii Planet Pattern

These little planets are one of my favorite things to crochet! I just love how cute they turn out, and they’re super easy and quick to make! They make great keychains or ornaments, and they’re sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Continue to read on for the free pattern:

Skills Required/Abbreviations

  • magic ring - MR

  • single crochet - SC

  • invisible decrease - DEC

  • increase - INC

  • fasten off - FO

  • slip stitch - SLST

  • stitch - ST

  • back loops only - BLO

Materials Needed

  • 2 colors of worsted weight 4 yarn (I use Sugar n’ Cream cotton yarn)

  • 2.5mm crochet hook

  • stitch marker

  • darning needle

  • stuffing

  • 6mm safety eyes

  • scissors

*add 6mm eyes between rows 5 and 6; about 4 stitches apart*

*add blush*

*Start stuffing body*

*Finish stuffing body, fasten off and weave in ends*

*Note: to make sure my stitches are in the right direction, I turn the planet upside down before I start making the ring*

(3SC, INC) around (30)

Round 2

SLST in the first ST to join (counts as your first ST)

(4SC, INC) around (36)

SLST into next ST of new round to bring the ring together

*fasten off and weave ends in*
